Project Tinnitus Therapy Tunes
We released an Android App that allows patients suffering from tinnitus to fight this syndrome with a promising novel therapy that is based on so-called Notched Music. Further details, as well as scientific evidence, can be found on our website.
Computational Optoelectronics and Green Energy
Our team is developing novel finite-element methods for the numerical simulation and design of opto-electronic semiconductor devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or solar cells. Detailed information about our research activities can be found here.
Project MLAT
In close collaboration with our industry partner Skyguide, responsible for the surveillance of the Swiss airspace, we have sucessfully developed a mobile system for locating and tracking aircraft. Further details about the project can be found here.
Project piVision
In this computer vision research project our interdisciplinary team is developing and implementing novel face recognition algorithms. As an additional challenge we require these algorithms to be computationally efficient such that they also run on a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. Further details, including a small demonstration video, can be found on this page.
Project Biomded & Bluetooth
In close cooperation with one of the world's leading manufacturers of biomedical equipment we are developing concepts and solutions to control medical apparatus with tablet computers or smart phones.
A list of my former research projects can be found here.
